As part of her community involvement, Marie-Claude Caplette sent the following email to Toronto City Councillor Amber Morley on the Lake Promenade Co-Tenancy Project.

Hello Ms Morley,

Not in my back yard ! I lived at 1 Park Bvld. I want to inform you that I am opposing the project of Jack Greenberg, J. Daniel Greenberg and their Lake Promenade Co-Tenancy to demolish 548 renting units and replace them, without augmenting the size of the land, by 2021 units.

To be able to build so many more units on the same land, the promoters are asking for an important zoning change: to elevate to 30 the present maximum of 7 storeys for our residential area. If allowed, this project will destroy the character of our neighbourhood and bring inacceptable car traffic on Lake Promenade which is part of the longest network of multi-use recreational trails in the world, the Trans Canada Trail.

I count on you to reject this project.
