Denis Vaillancourt is a respected administrator who has worked in education over the course of more than 39 years. He is known for his leadership and his consensus-building capabilities, as well as his analytical skills and ability to synthesize.
He has been a teacher, a school principal, a school board trustee, an education superintendent and a director of education. He completed his active career in the Ontario Ministry of Education as Assistant Deputy Minister of Education, responsible for French-language education and educational administration. He remains active as an education consultant.
Within the community, he has been involved with the French Language Health Services Network of Eastern Ontario, the Club Richelieu, the Optimist Club and his parish in Rockland. Since October 23, 2010, he has held the post of Chairman for the Assemblée de la francophonie de l’Ontario.
