Côte de Brouilly
[Français]
These vines are sited on the sunny slopes of Mount Brouilly, and are overlooked by a chapel on the hill, where a beautiful statue of the Virgin Mary stands guard over the vineyard. The soils are mainly granite and schist and unusually uniform for the area. These are pedigree wines of a deep purple-red colour highlighted by bright flashes of cherry once poured, and with aromas of fresh grapes and irises. They need a few years of bottle age to attain their full, rounded flavours.
Serve at 13°C, with cold meats and meat terrines.
