Raymond Lemay holds a Master’s degree in the Education of Emotionally Disturbed Children and is the Executive Director of VALORIS for Children and Adults of Prescott-Russell (Plantagenet, ON), a $38-million multi-service organization with over 450 employees. He has authored several articles and books on resilience, normalization and Social Role Valorization (SRV), as well as on management. With Hayat Ghazal, he has co-authored Looking After Children in Canada, A Practitioner’s Guide (2007), published by the University of Ottawa Press. In 2006, his article J’entends des voix : Le courant de la pensée, les hallucinations et l’intervention was published in Travail Social Canadien/Canadian Social Work. He was recently named to serve as Senior Advisor, Child Welfare System Accountability, for the Commission to Promote Sustainable Child Welfare, in Toronto, from December 1, 2010 to May 31,
2011.
Raymond Lemay has spoken at conferences and provided training all over Canada and in the U.S.A., Australia, Belgium, Croatia, France, the United Kingdom, Iceland, Norway and Switzerland.
