Born in Montreal in 1982, Stephanie Abinakle graduated from the University of Ottawa’s National Program, where she earned both the Civil and Common law degrees of LL.L. / LL.B. In 2006-2007, she articled with the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services of Ontario. Since September 2007, she is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada.
Stephanie Abinakle is perfectly bilingual and strongly believes in this fundamental characteristic of Canada and Ontario. She thinks that Canada’s bilingualism has shaped the country’s image abroad as a peace-loving and moderate nation and should maintain this image especially in the English provinces such as Ontario. Stephanie wants to reinforce this fundamental characteristic of Canada given the rapid changes taking place in the World and that are having an impact on our country and our province. Stephanie is motivated, methodical, elaborate and perseverant in her work. She has excellent interpersonal, communication, problem solving and leadership skills. She also has strong research and analytical skills as well as the capacity to handle several tasks at once. She knows how to use a personal computer and the commonly used software. She is a team player and is capable of working under pressure. Her goal is to put into place her knowledge and training in order to gain new abilities and skills by working under the supervision of experienced lawyers and by making professional relations that would help her launch her legal career.
Stephanie is interested in many areas of law including Family Law, Criminal law, Administrative Law, Wills and Estates, and Corporate Law. She is a member of the Ontario Bar Association (OBA).
