Albert Nolette is from Edmonton, Alberta, where he completed a Bachelor of Education at the Campus Saint-Jean of the University of Alberta. He is also a graduate of the French common law program at the University of Ottawa.


He is interested in language rights and has co-authored a report and an academic article in regards to the financial support provided by the department of Canadian Heritage for minority language education. He has also testified on this subject before the Standing Senate Committee on Official Languages. He has been President (2011-2012) of the Regroupement étudiant de common law en français (RÉCLEF). In Summer 2011, he worked at Heenan Blaikie LLP in Ottawa and has returned to article with this firm.
