Counsel at the Crown Law Office – Civil of the Ministry of the Attorney General (MAG), Sandra Nishikawa litigates a wide range of commercial, administrative and public law cases. Prior to that, Sandra litigated civil forfeiture cases at the Civil Remedies for Illicit Activities Office of the Ministry. Before joining MAG, Sandra was counsel in the Business and Regulatory Law Division of the Department of Justice of Canada for nine years and a litigation associate at Shearman & Sterling LLP, in New York, for four years. Sandra has extensive experience litigating a wide range of cases, including commercial, employment, human rights, administrative law and Charter cases.
Sandra has a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Toronto, and LL.B. and B.C.L. degrees from McGill University and was called to the bar in 1999. In 2009, Sandra completed an LL.M. at the University of Toronto.
Sandra is a Bencher of the Law Society of Upper Canada.
