Méhou-Loko, Yves-Gérard

Born in suburban Paris, Yves-Gérard Méhou-Loko is of Béninese background. After a stay in Benin and Togo, he settled in Québec in 1988. After doing an International Bachelor at the Petit Séminaire de Québec, he studied Economics and Political Science at Laval University, and at the University of Québec in Montréal.
He began his career in journalism in 1998 — first as a reporter, then as Director of Information at 103.3 FM in Longueuil. From 2002 to 2006, he was the morning show host at Radio-Canada in Regina. From 2006 to 2010, he hosted and produced a daily morning radio program for Radio-Canada in Edmonton. Since September 2011, he has been the host / producer of the CBC/Radio-Canada morning show "Y a pas deux matins pareils" in Toronto.
