As a Senior consultant at NATIONAL Public Relations, Christian Cormier oversees the consultation and regulatory process pertaining to applications submitted by energy companies to the Albertan government.
Prior to joining NATIONAL, he successfully led the public relations campaign for London's bid to host the 2012 Olympic Games. More recently, in Montreal, he counseled clients such as Johnson & Johnson, COGECO and the Montreal Health Board, handling public consultations, M&A, crises and issues as well as government relations matters.
He has also been responsible for the public relations and communications strategies of global clients such as Saudi Basic Industries Corporation, the largest petrochemical company in the Middle East, the United Kingdom Trade and Investment, Gulf Air and Novartis. Thanks to his legal background, he was also involved in land use related public consultations in London.
Called to the Quebec Bar in 1992, Christian Cormier holds a law degree from the University of Montreal and a Master's degree from the University of Paris. He sits on the Board of the Association Canadienne Française de l’Alberta – Calgary chapter and is also the political correspondent for the Chinook, a francophone monthly. He has extensive experience in writing keynotes, speeches, articles and other editorial material in French and English.
