Evan J. Bergeron in an associate in Deutsch, Kerrigan, & Stiles’ Civil Litigation Department, assisting clients in the areas of general civil litigation, general casualty litigation, insurance coverage, insurance fraud investigations, personal injury, and premises liability. Mr. Bergeron also has experience in the areas of product defects, warranties and redhibition, the Louisiana Lemon Law, the Louisiana Unfair Trade Practices Act, indemnity and contribution, First Amendment and media law, defamation and privacy torts.
He is a 2011 cum laude graduate of the Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, where he was a Fall/Spring Coach on the Loyola Moot Court Board, oralist and brief writer for Loyola's 2010 National First Amendment Moot Court Team (national semifinalists), member of the Loyola Journal of Public Interest Law, and Chief Justice of the College of Law Honor Board.
Mr. Bergeron is also a former member of CODOFIL, the Council for the Development of French in Louisiana, and remains active in the Louisiana Cajun and French communities. Publications include: Organized RFRAff, A Recommendation to the Louisiana Legislature on the Best Way to Accomplish a State Religious Freedom Restoration Act, 12 Loy. J. Pub. Int. L. 133 (2010).
Mr. Bergeron was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 2011 and is admitted to practice before all Louisiana state courts. He is also a member of the Louisiana Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the St. Thomas More Inn of Court.
