Mark C. Power is an assistant professor in the French-language common law program, which falls under the Common Law Section of the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Law. He is a recognized leader in the fields of language rights, education law and public law. His research focuses on the rights of national minorities; Canadian, Indian and comparative constitutional law; federalism; access to justice; and language rights. He has been solicitor of record in more than twenty cases heard by the Supreme Court of Canada. Mr. Power began his law career at Heenan Blaikie in Toronto in 2003, after clerking for the Honourable Mr. Justice Michel Bastarache of the Supreme Court of Canada.
