Originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Zinha Muabi arrived with his family in Montreal in 1987. After studying Paralegal Technology at Ahuntsic College, she changed her focus to go in communications. She has a Certificate in Applied Communication from University of Montreal and a BA in Communications / Marketing from University of Quebec in Montreal.
In 1999, she had the opportunity to be co-host at Radio-Centre-ville (community radio in Montreal). She has also been host of a television show called Mosaïque in 2003. This show was broadcasted on Canal Vox, the multilingual and community channel of Montreal. In Montreal, she organized artistic and cultural events (theme parties, exhibitions of visual arts, etc.) within het circle of friends and acquaintances.
After working in a marketing research firm for five years and as Coordinator and Communications Officer for a private auction company of art and antiques for nearly three years, she moved in 2008 to Calgary (Alberta). For two years, she has been Events Coordinator for the Alberta’s French-Canadian Association, Calgary Chapter (ACFA), whose mandate is the development of the Francophonie in Calgary.
She organized the 2009, 2010 and 2011 editions of the Maple Festival des Sucres of Calgary, the Espace Francophone during the Calgary Global Fest for two consecutive years and various activities and events for the Francophone community of Calgary and surrounding areas.
Zinha Muabi is now self-employed through her company 6L Productions & Event Services, dedicated to her passion: the organization of special events of all kinds, whether for corporations or individuals, and artistic production.
