The Honorable Madam Justice Mary T. Moreau was appointed as a Justice of the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta in 1994.
Prior to her appointment, she practised law with Shtabsky & Co. (1980-1982), Frohlich Irwin & Rand (1981-1989) and Rand Moreau (1989-1994) in Edmonton, primarily in the areas of criminal, constitutional and civil litigation.
Justice Moreau received her LL.B. from the University of Alberta, and was the co-founder (1990) of the “Association des juristes d’expression française de l’Alberta” (AJEFA), president of the Criminal Trial Lawyers Association, a member of the Board of Directors of the Legal Education Society of Alberta, and president of the Regional Committee of the Legal Aid Society of Alberta.
